<<------ end of log ------>>

Note lines 3831 - 3833.  pam_mount thinks umount.crypt failed,
but 'df' no longer shows "/home/wife" and there's no longer a
"/dev/mapper/_dev_sdd5", so the umount.crypt appears to have
succeeded.

I tried manually issuing the 'mount.crypt' and 'umount.crypt'
commands, and got return code 1 from 'umount.crypt':

Note the lines:
1(0) 00:40 r...@athlon ~ 518# umount.crypt /home/wife
1(1) 00:40 r...@athlon ~ 519# ls -al /dev/mapper

The number in parentheses is the return code of the previous
command. I.E. the 'df' command immediately before the
'umount.crypt' command returned (0), but the 'umount.crypt
/home/wife' command returned (1).

I can find no indication that the 'umount.crypt' failed in
any way, but it returned a non-zero value, and pam_mount
reports that the 'umount.crypt' failed.
