Hi, What's the current status of this bug? Does it affects only ia64 architecture? Other 64-bit only architectures? All architectures, including mainstream i386?
GNOME is barely usable at the moment. For example, viewing a PDF document
with Evince takes several dozens of seconds before loading. And the same
time for resizing the view or going from and to the previous and next pages.
It's even worse for music and movie playback with Totem.
