Package: reportbug Version: 4.6 Severity: normal If you set "ui" to "gtk2" in the .reportbug, then
reportbug --template reportbug will pop up a (rather useless) window (if you are in X) or spew a bunch of error messages (if you are at console). This breaks interaction with other packages, e.g., debian-el, which want to capture stdout from reportbug. Thus, with --template, we should ignore the user-interface setting from the rc file and simply print to stdout. -- Package-specific info: ** Environment settings: INTERFACE="text" ** /home/jk/.reportbugrc: reportbug_version "4.6" mode standard ui text email "kullstj...@comcast.net" -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.31-rc7 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages reportbug depends on: ii apt 0.7.22.2 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii python 2.5.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-reportbug 4.6 Python modules for interacting wit reportbug recommends no packages.
