Package: nvidia-glx-dev Version: 1.0.7667-2 Severity: important Since nvidia-glx now handles the diversions of libGL, a clean upgrade using aptitude is not possible. dpkg gives the following error-message: dpkg-divert: `diversion of /usr/lib/libGL.so to /usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.xlibmesa by nvidia-glx' clashes with `diversion of /usr/lib/libGL.so to /usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.xlibmesa by nvidia-glx-dev'
The problem cannot be fixed by purging nvidia-glx and nvidia-glx-dev and reinstalling them. Installing just nvidia-glx and purging nvidia-glx-dev won't help, too. The only solution I could currently imagine is to completely purge all nvidia/GL-packages and reinstall. Unfortunately I don't have time to do this right now. I cannot prove that this bug is reproduceable on other machines, so feedback would be nice :) Kind regards, Patric Schenke -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-k7 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages nvidia-glx-dev depends on: ii nvidia-glx 1.0.7667-1 NVIDIA binary XFree86 4.x driver ii xlibmesa-gl-dev [libgl-d 6.8.2-10debian1 Mesa 3D graphics library developme nvidia-glx-dev recommends no packages. -- no debconf information PS: The nvidia-packages are great work and this is the first problem I experience with them :) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
