No, the problem is probably either in gio or gvfs. Nautilus from lenny doesn’t use gio. There must be something in this directory which makes gio fail to read its contents. If you don’t want to share its content with us, I suggest that you start by moving half of it in a directory and the other half in another, and try to find out what is triggering the error.
