Indeed since a while the check of pgp sigs was no more working for me (it did before). I didn't have the time so far to check, if it was a poor configuration on my side or a real bug. Now I did...;) I turned out, that there was an old lock on trustdb.gpg blocking requests for signature checks. with the lock removed all is working again as expected. The log of claws-mail with the lock in place was: mimeview.c:1036:creating thread mimeview.c:955:checking... pgpmime.c:186:Checking PGP/MIME signature mimeview.c:987:waiting a while sgpgme.c:362:tmp file /home/mathiasb/.claws-mail/tmp/tmpfile.00000004 sgpgme.c:368:data 0x7ff6d968afc0 (2509 197) mimeview.c:995:killing checker thread mimeview.c:909:mimeview_check_sig_thread_cb sgpgme.c:97:status == NULL I think the hanging preferences window could perhaps be caused by the check for a working gpg setup?
