Package: libopenjpeg2 Version: 1.3+dfsg-5 Severity: important libopenjpeg2 is failing to encode images with Alpha (or any other components other that 3 correctly. Encoding 4 or more channels actually results in a buffer overrun on a static array. Which produces random results depending on the exact combination of optimisation, and target processor being used.
The correct behaviour is to limit access to the MCT array to only 3 component images and for all others to set the MCT parameters to 1.0 -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libopenjpeg2 depends on: ii libc6 2.9-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries libopenjpeg2 recommends no packages. libopenjpeg2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
