If I remove the /etc/default/jabberd file (as allowed by policy) and I setup /var/run as a ramfs (as allowed by policy) then the /var/run/jabberd2 directory, when created by the init script, is not owned by the jabber user (as expected by the init script) since the $USER and $GROUP variables are not defined.
