wow sorry, but 4.2.28-1etch1 is in *Etch*.  We do not support oldoldstable
in any way (i.e. you're on your own on backporting).  Of course adding a
versioned dependency isn't much of an issue, even if it's an essential
package to depend upon.  I'll look at it when preparing the next upload,
which is, however, not scheduled soon.
