For those experiencing this issue, a workaround is this: echo '# Workaround for http://bugs.debian.org/531885' >> ~/.pbuilderrc echo umask 022 >> ~/.pbuilderrc echo >> ~/.pbuilderrc
Doesn't work for me. To work around this bug I needed to set umask 022 before calling cowbuilder.
