If network-test(1) is run in a directory in which the user cannot
create a temporary file, the program fails with this error message:

  INFO: The router 192.168.1.1 is reachable
  WARN: The eth0 interface is down
  mktemp: cannot create temp file tmptestnet.gYydfk: Permission denied
  ERR: Cannot create temporary file! Aborting! 

mktemp should use a template beginning with /tmp or similar.
