Hi,
I believe this is the same error and the original submitter got
the error message wrong:
Installing gnudip, then uninstalling, rm /etc/gnudip.conf, and
finally reinstalling gnudip causes the following error message:
No such file or directory at
/var/lib/dpkg/info/gnudip.postinst
line 115, <STDIN> line 4.
This happens because the postinst script tries to open
/etc/gnudip.conf for reading, but /etc/gnudip.conf cannot exist:
the postinst exits in line 33 if /etc/gnudip.conf is already
present…
