Hi! First of all, I see both your bugreports connected to the same issue so I guess it would had been sufficient if you had filed a single bugreport. :)

Additional to the question Mark already asked I'd like to know if this only happens to you with wesnoth or also with other applications using sdl. Games that come to my mind are wormux, xmoto, widelands, torus-trooper, pingus, lincity-ng, jumpnbump (rather small so should be a convenient quick-test install), freecif-client-sdl, enigma, crack-attack or supertux.
