Asclock itself doesn't know it's size, it just assumes 1x1 + 1pixel border width. So if you set point of origin _not_ to upper left corner - you'll see the problem. from the manpage: -position [+|-]x[+|-]y specifies the starting position of asclock. The [+|-] works like the standard X-Windows x/y geometry option. But it doesn't work as the x/y geometry option. Compare it to "xterm/xeyes/... -g -0+0". I do not use window maker at all. The bug isn't related to a window manger and if you want to go sure on testing turn it off.
