Any news regarding this issue? Wouldn't it make sense to coordinate this one with other distributions if upstream isn't interested in handling it? I was told that SuSE and RedHat ship their own patchset as well, so synchronising the default behaviour between major Linux distributions would be a benefit for users. regards, -mika-
