I didn't pass any uri. I just used the "Migrate" option in the virt-manager GUI. There is a relevant bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=499704 which talks about the same problem. As per the bugzilla, the problem has been fixed for virsh but hasn't been verified for virt-manager. Probably, this should be reassigned to virt-manager.
