Package: sweep Version: 0.9.3-2 Severity: normal
When you start sweep, it gives a box that says this: "Sweep: welcome to Sweep." "Hello, my name is Scrubby. Welcome to Sweep. Would you like to create a new file or load an existing file?" Now, this tells me that the program is called sweep. But it does *not* tell me what the heck sweep does. Please add some text to the initial screen that will give a new user some small clue what the program is good for. (Yes, I know. It lets you create new files or load existing files. But, 99% of other linux applications can do that too...) -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages sweep depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.26.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.8.6-2+b1 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.1-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.16.1-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libmad0 0.15.1b-4 MPEG audio decoder library ii libogg0 1.1.3-5 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libpango1.0-0 1.24.0-3+b1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsamplerate0 0.1.7-2 audio rate conversion library ii libsndfile1 1.0.18-2 Library for reading/writing audio ii libspeex1 1.2~rc1-1 The Speex codec runtime library ii libvorbis0a 1.2.0.dfsg-5 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisenc2 1.2.0.dfsg-5 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.2.0.dfsg-5 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libx11-6 2:1.2.2-1 X11 client-side library Versions of packages sweep recommends: ii amb-plugins [ladspa-plugin] 0.3.0-1 ambisonics LADPSA plugins ii cmt [ladspa-plugin] 1.16-1 a collection of LADSPA plugins ii fil-plugins 0.1.0-2 parametric equalizer LADSPA plugin ii mcp-plugins [ladspa-plugin] 0.3.0-4 LADSPA plugins designed for Alsa M ii swh-plugins [ladspa-plugin] 0.4.15-2 Steve Harris's LADSPA plugins ii tap-plugins [ladspa-plugin] 0.7.0-2 Tom's Audio Processing LADSPA plug sweep suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
