Package: cron Version: 3.0pl1-105 Severity: wishlist crontab(1) command manpage mention: /etc/cron.allow and /etc/cron.deny files and related: crontab(5), cron(8) manpages. These are good.
But it does not mention implication of permission on /var/spool/cron/crontabs explicitly. It will be nice to mention that user running crontab command need to be root or ones in crontab group to update crontab file: /var/spool/cron/crontabs/<username>. (I initially used -u option with sudo) This should be mentioned either in README.Debian or in crontab(1).
