Unfortunately, this makes me even unable to compile libgcc: I have replaced debian/patches/01_host_subdir.diff with that patch of the URL, so now only config/acx.m4 is being modified. The compilation dies with the error Checking multilib configuration for libgcc... make[3]: Entering directory `/home/alberto/tmp/mingwdeb/gcc-mingw32-4.4.0/build-tree/gcc-4.4.0/i586-mingw32msvc/libgcc' Makefile:143: ../.././gcc/libgcc.mvars: No such file or directory make[3]: *** No rule to make target `../.././gcc/libgcc.mvars'.
