update-alternatives --display x-terminal-emulator
?
Most likely it says: "link currently points to /usr/bin/konsole" meaning
that konsole is your x-terminal-emulator which is broken.
In that case it is actually a bug in konsole (see [1] for details), but
I'll leave it open here as placeholder.
