Package: ia32-libs Version: 2.7 Severity: important
The included libpam.so library in ia32-libs looks for PAM modules in (64bit) /lib/security rather than (32bit) /lib32/security. This renders PAM basically unusable for any 32bit software, because loading of PAM modules fails with wrong ELF class. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ia32-libs depends on: ii dpkg 1.14.25 Debian package management system ii lib32asound2 1.0.16-2 ALSA library (32 bit) ii lib32gcc1 1:4.3.2-1.1 GCC support library (32 bit Versio ii lib32ncurses5 5.7+20081213-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii lib32stdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 (3 ii lib32z1 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - 32 bit runti ii libc6-i386 2.7-18 GNU C Library: 32bit shared librar ii lsb-release 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base version report ia32-libs recommends no packages.
