Hi, I trigger the Illume keyboard via matchbox-keyboard-im (not packaged yet, but patch available at http://bugs.debian.org/538041). It works mostly great. But sometime, e.g. when switching between applications, the applications request the keyboard to hide and appear in very short succession. Illume reacts immeditally, causing flicker and resizings in the applications, which is irritiating. I suggest that Illume, after receiving such a XEvent from an application, would wait for a very short period of time (say, 50ms) before actually acting. This way, when the opposite requests follows right after it, the user will not notice.
