I don't hear any sound from WebSDR at <http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/>. I've also tried <http://javaboutique.internet.com/Guitar/> which is similarly silent. This is on two different systems, both amd64. I've used lsof to examine the list of files that java_vm has open; it does open /proc/asound/version but nothing under /dev/snd. Sound is otherwise fine on my systems. I was able to hear sound from WebSDR back when I had an i386 machine, so perhaps this is specific to the amd64 package. - -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (430, 'testing'), (420, 'unstable'), (410, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages sun-java6-plugin depends on: ii epiphany-browser 2.26.1-1 Intuitive web browser - dummy pack ii epiphany-gecko 2.26.1-1 Intuitive GNOME web browser - Geck ii epiphany-webkit 2.27.3-1 Intuitive GNOME web browser - WebK ii iceweasel 3.0.9-1 lightweight web browser based on M ii libasound2 1.0.20-2 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libx11-6 2:1.2.1-1 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxi6 2:1.2.1-2 X11 Input extension library ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-3 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii libxtst6 2:1.0.3-1 X11 Testing -- Resource extension ii sun-java6-bin 6-14-1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( ii xulrunner-1.9 1.9.0.12-1 XUL + XPCOM application runner sun-java6-plugin recommends no packages. sun-java6-plugin suggests no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkpqQMkACgkQshl/216gEHi8egCfb2lUDK0Q6G2ReEvqhMOzzwyx jYsAnitJHwTh+4FyBObxO670ztJ5/zGm =kgqj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
