Package: libneon27 Version: 0.28.4-1 Severity: important This problem was originally reported against Audacious media player, which I am a developer of. The version of libneon currently in Squeeze, 0.28.4-1, completely fails to read an Ogg Vorbis stream which the Lenny version, 0.28.2-6.1, reads without any problem.
With 0.28.4-1 (and upstream Audacious as of today): $ audacious2 http://ic.adagio.fm:8000/afm64k.ogg ERROR: neon: neon.c:619 (open_request): <0x9e55780> Could not open URL: 5 (0) ERROR: neon: neon.c:621 (open_request): <0x9e55780> neon error string: Could not connect to server: Invalid argument ERROR: neon: neon.c:905 (neon_aud_vfs_fopen_impl): <0x9e55780> Could not open URL ERROR: neon: neon.c:619 (open_request): <0x9e55780> Could not open URL: 5 (0) ERROR: neon: neon.c:621 (open_request): <0x9e55780> neon error string: Could not connect to server: Invalid argument ERROR: neon: neon.c:905 (neon_aud_vfs_fopen_impl): <0x9e55780> Could not open URL [Audacious starts immediately but does not play.] With 0.28.2-6.1 (and the same Audacious): $ audacious2 http://ic.adagio.fm:8000/afm64k.ogg [Audacious takes a few seconds to start (connecting? buffering?) but plays the stream without errors.] If it's helpful, the source code of Audacious's neon plugin (the neon.c referred to in the error messages) is online at: http://hg.atheme.org/audacious-plugins/file/7fe7a186c244/src/neon/neon.c -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libneon27 depends on: ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcomerr2 1.41.3-1 common error description library ii libkrb53 1.6.dfsg.4~beta1-13 Transitional library package/krb4 ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8k-3 SSL shared libraries ii libxml2 2.7.3.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-13 compression library - runtime libneon27 recommends no packages. libneon27 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
