Package: fossology
Version: 1.1.0-1
Severity: minor
When starting the fossology from commandline e.g. with
/etc/init.d/fossology start or by installing with dpkg -i
afterwards some error messages are logged to the console or terminal.
It seems some part of fossology doesn't correctly detach and closes
its standard io handles. This really should all go to the log file instead.
Examples:
This one seems to be from one of the agents:
FATAL: ununpack: Permission denied
FATAL: 'mkdir /srv/fossology' failed with rc=-1
But also from postgres:
WARNUNG: nicht standardkonforme Verwendung von Escape in Zeichenkettenkonstante
LINE 1: ...e,ufile_name,upload_fk) VALUES (48941,42175,33188,'\xe2\x99\...
^
HINT: Verwenden Sie die Syntax für Escape-Zeichenketten, z.B. E'\r\n'.
Gruesse,
Frank
