One can barely predict what future libraries or version of some rarel library some application might depend upon. If there is no writing by the BOINC developers that glut should be available, then we should not change a thing. Does the regular BOINC distribution come with libglut? My suggestion would be, and may I possibly ask you to go ahead with this, to post about your experiences on the spinhenge forum and collect opinions on their front?
