Package: coreutils
Version: 7.4-2
Severity: wishlist
Hi.
Currently one can specifies filenames like someTextFollowedByXXXXXX
where the XXXX's are for the template.
It is however not possible to do something like:
file.XXXX.ogg
There are probably many reasons why this could be interesting, one
example might be:
Re-encoding flac-files (because the encoder has improved).
This does however not work,.. as flac require flac-files to have some
known ending, e.g. .flac or .oga
Regards,
Chris.
