Hi Gonéri I see you are the actual ocs-agent mantainer, its a pleasure to meet you :)
So I think i dont understand the command behaviour or... there is something strange: In both Lenny and Testing (I've just tested in it) packages (0.0.9.2repack1 and 1.0.1-2), the command "ocsinventory-agent --local path" return a XML file. In any case XML file can be imported to ocsinventory-server prior to 1.02, which is not in any Debian repository yet. In short, if you use all official ocs packages in whatever Debian branch, you can't do a local compatible inventary. If I want an XML file in order to read it, I think its the "--output" param job: # ocsinventory-agent --output > file.xml In this case, "local and output" params are "the same". Finally, in both original versions from www.ocsinventory-ng.com (1.01 and 1.02) the command return with "--local" option is an Zlib compressed file, which its obviously whole server compatible. So... could you explain me this situation? (Sorry if my letters sound bad, im not english native and its not my purpose). Thanks in advanced. > > Hi Jesús, > > Thank you for your patch but I don't think it's a good idea to change the > way the agent work like that. > A more acceptable solution is to provide a little script in a contrib > directory just to compress an .xml if needed. > > Cheers, > > Gonéri Le Bouder > -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
