Package: gnome-control-center Version: 1:2.26.0-1 Severity: normal In the Preferred Applications window, there are checkboxes to set whether the application should be run in a terminal window. These preferences work, but they aren't set automatically when choosing a preset application.
The list of default applications in gnome-default-applications.xml has a run-in-terminal pref but it doesn't seem to be used by Preferred Applications. Well, there's only one application that has it set to true, but it's Mutt. Choosing Mutt from the list of mail readers works, and sets the command gconf pref, but it doesn't set the needs_terminal pref to true. Likewise, if the needs_terminal pref is already true, choosing a mail reader that has run-in-terminal set to false doesn't change it. This is more of a problem because the terminal checkbox is disabled unless you're using a custom mailer. Setting the pref manually (either by choosing a custom mailer then going back to a preset one or changing the gconf pref directly) works.
