Hi, per http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=505772 etckeeper does an hg init on installation. However, 505772 actually actually suggests asking the user before doing this, which I would prefer. Yes, I could run uninit, but I'm more comfortable being asked.
