When cloning bugs (especially a mass clone), please send a message to
the cloned bug with a short summary of the issue, else the maintainer
does not get adequate notification of the bug, and notices only when
ddpo bugs him months later :)

That's highly exaggerated. "It does not work with one particular
application" is not "unusable by most or all users" but "does not
undermine the usability of the whole package".
