At the time I created and tested the patch ia32-apt-get (IIRC rel. 18 or 20) worked in "the intrusive way" diverting apt-get and friends and package build worked fine. Now (rel 22) this has changed and there are currently neither a functional monolithic ia32-libs nor individual ia32-lib* packages available for sid (in default configurations, they can be installed manually with ia32-apt-get and friends). So until the ia32-libs issue is solved one way or another there is not much the nvidia-*-ia32 packages could do about this. I'll post a patch for nvidia-graphics-drivers once this is possible. Probably going back to an unversioned ia32-libs build dependency will be enough. I personally liked the idea of having the individual ia32-lib* packages, less bloated dependencies and a much easier way to update individual libs.
