I have discovered the new problem. I don't want open the new bug, because I don't understand the nature of it and it is rather specific and not common case.
For a long time I am using diskless environment where samba is used to provide remote root fs. There were no problems for all time at all, but with last version I have encountered very strange problem. The system booted as usual, but gnome don't load completely, stopping at the mid way. When I switch to console and issue some few commands, I see "to many opened files" message and "cannot load shared library". While lsof show not too much, but ordinary number of opened files. After that nothing else is working, even shutdown. As in previous story, downgrade solve any problems. All of those stories inspires thought that 3.4 is too crude for regular usage. It should go into experimental for more testing. ********************************* **** Vladimir Stavrinov ****** ******* v...@inist.ru ********* ********************************* -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
