Thanks for your bug report of January 4. I apologize for taking so long to reply. I've gotten further behind than I realized. I believe the bug you have reported is not actually related to the other jpeg compression bug in debian, but I think it may be related to an upstream bug involving failure in reading scanlines from jpeg-compressed tiffs encoded with YCbCr. I have marked this bug as forwarded to that one and have added comments to the upstream bug report.
