this is very strange. if i recompile the package the segfault
goes away. even just "apt-get source -b joystick" produces a
segfault-free version.
since this package doesn't really have any build-dependencies, the
only thing i can think is that there was maybe some kind of compiler
bug or buildd problem back when the package was built last year, or maybe
it's using some really exotic semi-private headers/api/abi in libc6.
fwiw, gcc on the current system is gcc (Debian 4.3.3-13) 4.3.3, and on
the old system (according to buildd logs) was 4.3.2-1
so i'm a bit at a loss as to what should be done...
