Could you provide an > example of the "terrible mangling"? > > thanks, Here's an example of a header getting mangled (occurs on both 3.5.0-2.1 and 3.7.1-2): Return-Path: <c...@laptop.org> X-Original-To: dilin...@queued.net Delivered-To: dilin...@queued.net Received: by lunge.queued.net (Postfix, from userid 106) id 934F739843D; Wed, 8 Jul 2009 13:59:12 -0400 (EDT) Received: from void.printf.net (void.printf.net [89.145.121.20]) by lunge.queued.net (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 0B6BE39843B for <dilin...@queued.net>; Wed, 8 Jul 2009 13:59:12 -0400 (EDT) Received: from pullcord.laptop.org ([18.85.46.20]) by void.printf.net with esmtp (Exim 4.50) id 1MObOv-0000WZ-M7; Wed, 08 Jul 2009 18:57:49 +0100 From: Chris Ball <c...@xxxxxx.org> To: Deepak Saxena <dsax...@xxxxxx.org> Cc: Andres Salomon <dilin...@queued.net>, danja...@xxx.edu, Madeleine Ball <m...@xxxxxx.net> Subject: XXXXX XXXX on Friday Date: Wed, 08 Jul 2009 13:56:48 -0400 Message-ID: <m3prcbkqhr....@pullcord.laptop.org> User-Agent: Gnus/5.13 (Gnus v5.13) Emacs/23.0.60 (gnu/linux) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-Bogosity: Ham, tests=bogofilter, spamicity=0.000000, version=1.1.7 [body] If you have that header sitting in your inbox and attempt to forward it, it becomes: Begin forwarded message: Date: Wed, 08 Jul 2009 13:56:48 -0400 From: Chris Ball <c...@xxxxxx.org> To: Deepak Saxena <dsax...@xxxxxx.org> Cc: Andres Salomon <dilin...@queued.net>, danja...@xxx.edu, Madeleine Ball <m...@xxxxxx.net> Subject: XXXXX XXXX on Friday [body] Similar things happen with message bodies and patches (insert http://dev.queued.net/~dilinger/jffs2-fix.patch into a message and email it to yourself; then attempt to forward it. The patch gets mangled). Going into Configuration->Preferences->Compose->Wrapping and unchecking "Wrap quotation", "Wrap pasted text" and "Auto indent" doesn't help (I would've thought that the quotation option would've done the trick). Unchecking "Auto wrapping" *does* fix it, but that's not at all what I want.. I want claws to wrap the text that I manually type (or perhaps paste), but not the text that I forward/quote. It just becomes unreadable then. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
