Package: libncurses5 Version: 5.7+20090606-1 Severity: serious File: /lib/libncurses.so.5.7 Justification: breaks other packages
Since the latest update of libncurses, I get a lot of segfaults of programs linking against libncurses. As I haven't seen this behaviour before the libncurses update, my guess is that it's a ncurses bug. My dmesg shows e.g. [19701.044380] top[15170]: segfault at 4cc ip b7ed9c59 sp bfbdf150 error 4 in libncurses.so.5.7[b7eb2000+30000] [17067.320886] tput[10186]: segfault at 4cc ip b809cc59 sp bfa03190 error 4 in libncurses.so.5.7[b8075000+30000] Cheers, Michael -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (300, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libncurses5 depends on: ii libc6 2.9-19 GNU C Library: Shared libraries Versions of packages libncurses5 recommends: ii libgpm2 1.20.4-3.2 General Purpose Mouse - shared lib libncurses5 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
