Package: mono-xsp2 Version: 2.0-2 Severity: wishlist I'd like to purge net-tools (in favor of iproute). mono-xsp and mono-xsp2 are two packages on my system that still depends on net-tools. I can't find any reason for them to do so when looking at providing a patch for them to use iproute instead as an alternative.... I suspect the net-tools dependency is a historic leftover, since the debian/changelog indicates atleast netstat has been used in the past.
Would you please investigate if net-tools really is needed and drop it if it isn't? -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers transitional APT policy: (500, 'transitional'), (300, 'unstable'), (100, 'experimental'), (50, 'unstable-i386'), (1, 'experimental-i386') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mono-xsp2 depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.27 Debian configuration management sy ii libmono-corlib2.0-cil 2.4+dfsg-5 Mono core library (for CLI 2.0) ii libmono-security2.0-cil 2.4+dfsg-5 Mono Security library (for CLI 2.0 ii libmono-system-data2.0-cil 2.4+dfsg-5 Mono System.Data Library (for CLI ii libmono-system2.0-cil 2.4+dfsg-5 Mono System libraries (for CLI 2.0 ii mono-runtime 2.4+dfsg-5 Mono runtime ii mono-xsp2-base 2.0-2 base libraries for XSP 2.0 ii net-tools 1.60-23 The NET-3 networking toolkit ii procps 1:3.2.8-1 /proc file system utilities mono-xsp2 recommends no packages. mono-xsp2 suggests no packages. -- debconf information: * xsp2/xsp2_autostart: false * xsp2/xsp2_bind: 127.0.0.1 * xsp2/xsp2_port: 8082 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
