Hello Enrico, thank you for your work on grib_api.
As grib_api has been built for various architectures by the Debian build daemons, the test suite has failed on mips, hppa and sparc. These are the logs of the failed builds in those three architectures: https://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?&pkg=grib-api&ver=1.7.0-2&arch=mips&stamp=1242858566&file=log https://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?&pkg=grib-api&ver=1.7.0-2&arch=sparc&stamp=1245353868&file=log https://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?&pkg=grib-api&ver=1.7.0-2&arch=hppa&stamp=1246011587&file=log I have tried to find out what are the unique common traits of those architectures, and someone told me it was stricter alignment. I am sorry I don't know enough to provide further information. I have tried to run the failing test suite under valgrind in order to check possible issues that can be detected but are tolerated on amd64, but it looks like grib_api makes valgrind give some nonsensical output. I have currently disabled building grib_api in Debian on those architectures. If you manage to make grib_api work on, for example, sparc, do let me know and I will try to enable that architecture again. The issue is tracked in the Debian bug tracker system here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=529995 Thank you in advance, Enrico -- GPG key: 4096R/E7AD5568 2009-05-08 Enrico Zini <[email protected]>
