tags 531831 fixed-upstream thanks I started having the same problem recently when I switched to a new output plugin: the volume would be saved incorrectly, and set to 100% on startup. I still don't know why it was saved as 100%, but as Steve pointed out, the system volume should not be saved and restored on startup at all.
