Package: iscsitarget
Version: 0.4.16+svn162-3
Severity: wishlist

Currently, a full restart of iscsitargeti(ietd) is necessary when changes to
ietd.conf have been applied.
As a consequence the iscsi target services are shutdown for some seconds (or
even more if you screwed the config), which may be quite nasty to your
currently connected iscsi-initiators.

It would be tremendously helpfull to have a "config reload" capability on ietd.
Maybe on a HUP or other SIGUSR* signal, which rereads ietd.conf and applies the
changes without interruption of service.
