Package: python-central Version: 0.6.11 Severity: normal Hi,
Upgrading python-kaa-base from 0.4.0-1 (which provided py24 and py25 stuff) to 0.6.0-1 (py25 only), left broken symlinks in my /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/kaa_base-0.4.0.egg-info /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/kaa/*.py As a side-effect of those broken symlinks, that upgrade killed my Zope2/Plone3 buildout setup, as running buildout just spilled % ./bin/buildout While: Installing. An internal error occured due to a bug in either zc.buildout or in a recipe being used: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/zhenech/zope/dieweltnet/eggs/zc.buildout-1.1.1-py2.4.egg/zc/buildout/buildout.py", line 1477, in main getattr(buildout, command)(args) File "/home/zhenech/zope/dieweltnet/eggs/zc.buildout-1.1.1-py2.4.egg/zc/buildout/buildout.py", line 361, in install self._compute_part_signatures(install_parts) File "/home/zhenech/zope/dieweltnet/eggs/zc.buildout-1.1.1-py2.4.egg/zc/buildout/buildout.py", line 596, in _compute_part_signatures sig = _dists_sig(pkg_resources.working_set.resolve([req])) File "/home/zhenech/zope/dieweltnet/eggs/zc.buildout-1.1.1-py2.4.egg/zc/buildout/buildout.py", line 1203, in _dists_sig result.append(dist.project_name + '-' + _dir_hash(location)) File "/home/zhenech/zope/dieweltnet/eggs/zc.buildout-1.1.1-py2.4.egg/zc/buildout/buildout.py", line 1195, in _dir_hash hash.update(open(os.path.join(dirpath, name)).read()) IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/kaa_base-0.4.0.egg-info' While this is clearly also a bug in buildout, those dead symlinks are anoying and confusing. And yes, this is with pycentral 0.6.11.
