Oh!  Okay, then this must have been some completely different problem
and I didn't realize they could be related.  I'm sorry about the
incorrect information.

I'm a little baffled as to what change in -2 would have fixed this, but
I suspect one of:

STABLE14-linux-mmap-antirecursion-fix-20090512
STABLE14-linux-mmap-antirecursion-avoid-spurious-eio-20090526

since they're the only deltas I pulled up that dealt with locking.

openafs migration into squeeze is unfortunately currently blocked by the
ongoing krb5 transition.  I'll close this bug as fixed in -2 so that
it's clear to other squeeze users until that migration can complete.
