I just did this: 1) I'm connected on "wired-default", and create a new profile, "profile" 2) click Disconnect 3) choose "profile", and set it as default 4) connect 5) check if the connection works (doesn't work here because of a dummy router, but I'm confident it would -- ifconfig shows the new IP, there is a correct entry in the routing table, ...) 6) disconnect 7) choose again "wired-profile", and re-set it as default 8) connect - check - disconnect 9) choose again "profile", and re-set it as default As I understood your bug report, on step 9) the profile should've lost its settings.
