The libcm library was packaged as it was needed by the metacity window manager. However, metacity doesn't need it anymore (for a long time already) and the library is not really maintained upstream. As it has no reverse dependencies or package build-depending on it, I'm requesting its removal. I've asked Loïc and he agrees it can be removed.
