Package: gnome-network-admin Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
I have made fresh installation of "gnome". I am now trying to setup Network parameters with System -> Administration -> Network (gnome-network-admin) but the values from "enabled" interface are not applied to the system. If I close the settings menu and open again that interface is always deactivated as before. Do I need to install "network-manager" too? It is not in dependencies of gnome-network-admin or gnome package. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 testing www.debian-multimedia.org 500 testing gd.tuwien.ac.at 500 stable deb.opera.com --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =====================================-+-=============== libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.20.0) | 1.26.0-1 libc6 (>= 2.2.5) | 2.9-12 libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4) | 1.8.6-2+b1 libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2) | 1.2.12-1 libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.78) | 0.80-4 libfontconfig1 (>= 2.4.0) | 2.6.0-3 libfreetype6 (>= 2.2.1) | 2.3.9-4.1 libgconf2-4 (>= 2.23.2) | 2.26.0-1 libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.16.0) | 2.20.1-2 libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.14.0) | 2.16.1-2 libiw29 (>= 28+29pre7) | 29-1.1 liboobs-1-4 | 2.22.0-2 libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0) | 1.24.0-3+b1 libpolkit-dbus2 (>= 0.7) | 0.9-3 libpolkit2 (>= 0.7) | 0.9-3 zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-13 gnome-system-tools (= 2.22.1-4) | 2.22.1-4 Package's Recommends field is empty.
