I'm also getting this problem.

I don't know if it is kdevelop or libtool related, but I have another
problem (related to this one).

When I take an older, existing kdevelop project and try to build it
(on command line or in kdevelop), when it gets to the linking part,
where libtool is used, libtool starts spawning thousands of 'sh'
sessions, and eventually my window manager crashes.

To try to fix the above project, I made a new kdevelop project
(theory: maybe the older projects generated with kdevelop are
incompatible with newer versions of the build tools), but then I
started hitting those build errors reported earlier in this thread.

I've managed to temporarily fix both problems by downgrading libtool
from the Sid version (2.2.6a-4) to Lenny (1.5.26-4). The problems both
return when I upgrade libtool back to Sid.

David.
