Nikolay seemed to provide patched version of libzlui-maemo there to make user able to configure tap settings. If all above is right, then someone (e.g. you) need to convince Nikolay to prepare similar patch for 0.10.x and either put it in the next fbreader minor update or provide it semi-officially some way (mantis bug tracker, post it to this bug thread etc.). After that I will apply it to fbreader Debian package.
