With previous (0.8.x) versions, I was able to scroll book with fingers. With the current version, I can't. And that is the problem I'm trying to solve. In the current version of fbreader, tap scrolling more or less works with stylus, but does not with fingers. More particular, "sometimes" it works even with fingers, and "sometimes" it does not work even with stylus. As per http://www.fbreader.org/docs/maemoIssues.php, it looks like fbreader tries to distinguish between stylus taps and finger taps, and behave differently.
