I looked in the EFL libraries for the one responsible of the fonts and edje seemed to be the correct one, my fault. >> E17 shows small fonts on the Openmoko GTA01 Neo 1973 (fbdev at 96 dpi, >> while the real ones for this touchscreen are 285): >> >> http://pkg-fso.alioth.debian.org/bugs/e17-fonts_GTA01/ New pictures are available. >> Basically, if I specify '-dpi 285' for nodm, E17 is happy, but all the >> other applications are not, since the fbdev driver reports 96 dpi. >> Thus, it seems that E17 is ignoring the dpi reported by X.Org. >> >> FWIW, trying to specify "Xft.dpi: 285" in ~/.Xresources does not change >> anything, which means that E17 is also ignoring Xft settings. > > I'm afraid this is an upstream choice. Ignoring both X.Org dpi reporting and Xft settings? Well, in that case I disagree and I will stop complaining here, feel free to tag this bug as wontfix. > Have you tried loading the ``Settings-Scaling'' module and changing > the scaling parameters in the setting panel ? (it's in > ``Look->Scaling''). I tried now: - if I do not specify any -dpi setting for nodm, the automatic (wrong) scaling value is 142 and I can get the correct fonts with a scaling value of 48 (which is half of the dpi value X.Org reports) - if I specify '-dpi 285' for nodm, by default the scaling value is 142 (again, half of the dpi value X.Org reports) - if I specify '-dpi 285' for nodm and I select "Don't Scale" I get the same output as with no -dpi setting for nodm and automatic scaling To me, all the above results sound like a bug somewhere. Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca
